Fantasyland: Here We Come!

For all of you Disney aficionados, I am sure you know that Fantasyland will be opening in Magic Kingdom on December 6. It is going to be the biggest expansion of any of the Disney theme parks in history.

I have been invited to cover the opening as press and I would be lying if I didn’t say how extremely excited I am to be at Disney World to see the opening of the widely-anticipated opening of Fantasyland.

I will be there from December 5 – 7. That means I get to, for the very first time, see Disney World in all of its holiday glory. I am excited beyond belief. There really is something magical about Disney World. All of your cares subside for a few minutes. It’s lovely!

I hope you follow along as I cover as much as I can live from Disney World in early December.

Want to learn more about the new Fantasyland expansion? Visit DisneyWorld.com and also keep up with updates on the Disney Parks blog for daily information about Disney and its parks.

TRAVEL LITE in LA

If you are traveling to Los Angeles from now through the end of the year you can take advantage of their TRAVEL LITE package. I love W Hotels! Last year I visited the W Hotel in midtown Atlanta as well as the W in Times Square and love them! If you have never stayed at a W hotel you won’t be disapppointed!

Starting at $699, the TRAVEL LITE  package includes:

  • A luxurious stay in a Mega Suite (ooh, nice!)
  • Quinny Modd Stroller for use during your stay (fantastic when you don’t want to lug a stroller with you when you travel)
  • Welcome Basket with a Skip Hop Bib, Baby Einstein Rainstick Pal, and $25 gift card to Traveling Tikes (what a nice touch and will keep the littel ones occupied)
  • Choice of 4 hours of babysitting service, or full day poolside cabana rental (I’d go with the cabana rental. You can never go wrong there!)
  • $100 Food and Beverage Credit at NINETHIRTY and The Backyard Restaurants (food = YES!)
  • Complimentary valet and WiFi (I love this because Wifi and valet services can add up!)

This travel package from the W Los Angeles is perfect for out-of-towners as well as those who live in LA or nearby.

This the very first time I’ve ever been to Miami and I must say it’s a fabulous place to visit! It’s October. It’s 80 plus degress. The sun is beaming splendidly. The pace is fast. You get the picture.

I am down here for the annual Blogalicious conference where I will be speaking about finding your tribe as a blogger. As a blogger since 2004 I know a little about finding and even creating your own tribe. Be sure to follow the #blogalicious10 hashtag on Twitter to see all the action, information, and blogging and social media tips.

While I’m here in Miami I am staying at the Trump International in Suny Isles, about 30 minutes frm South Beach! It is beyond fabulous. I love it.  Why? Because they believe in paying attetion to the details.  I travel a lot and I know it’s the little things that matter.

Ski Deals in Park City, Utah

Although I have lived in the North Carolina mountains for a spell, I’ve never been skiing. And just yesterday when I was in Chicago I went into Eddie Bauer on Michigan Avenue and saw all their ski outfits and accessories and thought how much fun it probably is to ski.

One of these days I’m definitely going skiing with the fam!

If you and your family are skiers Park City, Utah has exceptional deals for ski resort vacations.

The Canyons: Offer is valid at any of the Canyon Resort accommodation offerings and includes three of the following choices: Three-day adult lift ticket, two First Tracks passes, three-day rental equipment, full-day adult or child group ski/snowboard lesson, $150 resort dining credit or 50-minute massage at the Grand Summit Spa. My Room at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara + Flowers Everywhere!

I’ve stayed at a lot of nice hotels, most of them since being a mom blogger and going on really great trips, but the Four Seasons Santa Barbara was really special. I think it’s because of all the landscaping and flowers — everywhere. I took video of my room if you’d like to take a look. Click here to take a video tour of my room. All of the flowers on the grounds were gorgeous. As someone who adores flowers, I was in heaven. And if you haven’t read any of my other blog posts, I was in Santa Barbara for a kickoff retreat for EA Sports. I will be joining 11 other challengers on the EA Sports Active 30-day challenge .
