I have always been the type of person who can sleep like a baby at night no matter the temperature or air quality of the room where I am sleeping. I guess I’m just fortunate to be able to rest like a rock. Even if the air in a room is terribly dry I can still find a way to sleep soundly, although I know I am a rare case.
During the Christmas holiday my father-in-law came to visit and on his first night his sleep was miserable. Turns out, the air in our home is too dry for him and he desperately needed something to make his sleep more restful. The next night we placed a Vicks GermFree humidifier in his room and he slept like a baby. He didn’t get up coughing at all and his nasal passages did not drain during the night. It was my first time seeing a humidifier work effectively and now I’m sold on Vicks humidifiers and so is my father-in-law. When he went home, he bought one for his house so he can sleep more peacefully.
I was given the great opportunity to review three Vicks humidifiers and after the experience with my father-in-law I looked at each carefully to see the benefits of each. I reviewed theV790 Vicks GermFree Humidifier (a), the V5100NS Vicks Ultrasonic Humidifier (b), and the V3500N Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier, (c).
The Vicks Ultrasonic Humidifier uses high frequency sound waves to break water into ultra-fine, visible, refreshing mist. Cool, visible mist is silently released into the air, offering comfort for cold and flu symptoms as well as dry air relief. Ultrasonic is also an option for individuals who desire moister air, but prefer cooler temperatures in the home.
Like I mentioned, I’ve never used a humidifier before this, but I’m sold! Just knowing that humidifiers help reduce bacteria in the air and reduce the spread of cold and flu germs is enough for me to keep several all around my home.
